Metadata Cleaner
Privacy Policy · Last updated 12 August 2026
Metadata Cleaner is an Android utility for inspecting common photo metadata and creating cleaned copies. The app is designed to process selected photos locally on your device.
Photos and local files
You choose the photos that the app can access through Android's system photo picker. The app does not scan your full photo library and does not upload your photos or their metadata to Navalcode. Cleaned copies and a local processing history remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app.
Advertising
The free version uses Google AdMob. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically collect and share IP address, approximate location inferred from it, app interactions, diagnostic information, and device or account identifiers for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. Data is encrypted in transit. Where required, the app asks for your consent through Google's User Messaging Platform before requesting ads. You can revisit available privacy choices from the app's Settings screen.

Purchases
The optional “Remove ads forever” purchase is processed by Google Play. Navalcode does not receive or store your full payment-card details. Google Play may process purchase and account information under its own privacy policy. The app stores only the local entitlement needed to remember that ads were removed.
Accounts, analytics and children
The app does not require an account and does not use a separate analytics service. Metadata Cleaner is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13.
Your choices
- Use Android's photo picker to control which photos the app can access.
- Delete individual clean copies or clear the local history in the app.
- Use the in-app privacy options when they are required in your region.
- Reset or delete your Android advertising ID in device settings.
- Purchase the one-time ad removal option, if desired.
Changes and contact
This policy may be updated when the app or its service providers change. The current version will remain available at this URL. For privacy questions, use the developer contact shown on Metadata Cleaner's Google Play listing or contact Navalcode on GitHub.
